DN Colleges Group (DNCG) is celebrating exceptional performance in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026, with students at University Campus Doncaster (UCDon) and University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) rating their higher education experience above the national average across a range of key measures.
The latest results demonstrate DNCG’s ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding higher education, with positive scores recorded across teaching quality, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, and academic support. Building on a strong performance in 2025, the 2026 survey highlights continued improvements in several areas that matter most to students.
The NSS, which gathers feedback from final-year higher education students across the UK, provides an important measure of student satisfaction and the overall quality of the university experience. This year’s results reinforce DNCG’s reputation for providing high-quality degree programmes within a supportive and accessible local learning environment.
Among the strongest results was Teaching on My Course, which increased from 92.9% in 2025 to 94.6% in 2026, placing DNCG 6.5% above the England average. Students praised engaging teaching, clear explanations and intellectually stimulating learning experiences.
Learning Opportunities also saw a notable rise, increasing from 91.5% to 94.4%, and achieving a score 8.4% above the England average. Students recognised the opportunities available to develop their knowledge, build confidence and gain the skills needed for future career success.
Performance remained strong in Assessment and Feedback, where 91.2% of students responded positively, placing DNCG 8% above the England average. Students highlighted fair assessment methods, constructive feedback and the support available to help them reach their academic goals.
Meanwhile, Academic Support increased from 90.7% in 2025 to 93% in 2026, demonstrating the impact of DNCG’s student-centred approach. The result reflects the accessible guidance, personalised support and encouragement available throughout the student journey.
These achievements showcase a thriving higher education community where students feel supported, challenged and empowered to succeed. They also underline DNCG’s commitment to continuously enhancing the student experience and creating opportunities that help learners achieve their ambitions.
Daniel Bown, Assistant Principal of Higher Education at DNCG, said: “These results are a powerful endorsement of the exceptional learning experience we provide at DN Colleges Group. Our students have recognised the quality of our teaching, the opportunities we create for their success, and the supportive community that enables them to thrive. We are enormously proud that so many aspects of the student experience are performing above sector benchmarks, reflecting our commitment to providing outstanding higher education that changes lives and strengthens our communities.”
