What is your story?
Doncaster chose me – the course structure and timings fitted perfectly with my own work schedule. I was 58 when I started – Government funding ends at 60 so it was, as Elvis said – ‘Now or Never’. I learned a huge amount about relationship counselling but I learned even more about myself, who I am and what makes me tick. My advice to future students (many of whom think they’re ‘not clever enough’ to do a degree/master’s/further education) – it’s more about your application than it is to cognitive ability. Lifelong learning is something to grab hold of with both hands.
What are you up to now?
I am a counsellor in three schools as well as running my own private practice.
