MSc Human Resource Management

The academic standards for Master’s Awards in Business and Management stress the importance of professional development to the health and productivity of the UK and global economies. Validated by the University of Lincoln, the programme has been designed to meet the academic and career development needs of Human Resource practitioners. The purpose of this programme is to develop and enhance the practice of Human Resource Management and its potentially significant contribution to the business world, both within the UK and increasingly in the international arena.

Human Resource Management (HRM) is concerned with the management of employees, as a major aspect of distinctive business capability. Notions of ‘human capital’, strategic talent management, are explored as vital components in achieving competitive advantage through the distinctive skills, attitudes and capabilities of employees.

A variety of assessment methods are utilised during this course, including case studies, individual and group presentations, examinations, essays, business reports, personal development portfolios, analysis and creation of policy documents, digital proposals. These assessments are designed to develop skills that will be useful for your career.

You will need a minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
All applicants will be interviewed prior to being accepted on to the programme.

Graduates can progress to Ph.D. study
