MA Literature and Digital Culture

The programme investigates the dynamic relationship between digital technology and contemporary culture. We consider how the evolving media landscape is transforming the form and content of the things we read and watch, and how digital technology is changing the ways we write and learn. It provides an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge theoretical debates and practical advances in digital culture.

You will work online with a variety of digital tools both collaboratively and independently on research tasks that will inform the in-person seminar discussion.

Teaching takes place once a month over a full day of six hours, usually at the weekend. Additional one-to-one meetings with tutors will provide further support, and you will work individually with your tutor for dissertation supervision.

There is also a fully-online variant of the course available. This runs in the same way, with live online seminars in place of the on-campus sessions.
